Flex certification reference material

Right now I am trying to figure out how to start the preparation, which books to use etc. There is lot of information available on the internet but I think that it would be better if I start following a book rather then browsing the web resources randomly. The topics I need to cover for Adobe Flex 3 with AIR Exam # 9A0-082 are:

1. Creating a User Interface (UI)

2. Flex system architecture and design

3. Programming Flex applications with ActionScript

4. Interacting with data sources and servers

5. Using Flex in the Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR)

I found the following books:

Getting Started with Flex 3 (O’Reilly, June 2008)

Download the PDF version of the book (PDF, 1.44M)

Flex 3 Cookbook (O’Reilly, June 2008)

Learning Flex 3 (O’Reilly, June 2008)

After some research I started reading the pdf version of Getting Started with Flex 3 you can get the hard copy of the book at :

The first step was to download the Adobe Flex Builder 3

As I was already working on eclipse for my java application so, I installed the Flex Builder 3 plugin. Installing the Flex Builder 3 was not a problem.

I created the Flex Project and started playing with it. I followed the examples in the book Getting Started with Flex 3. But I started getting the following error “ERROR Removing Compiler Problem Markers Flex”. Debugging and trying to fix the error took away my day.
